Look at this beautiful cone. Even the numbers are beautiful! The volume of a cylinder is the area of the base times the height, right? And for a cone or a pyramid, the area of the base times the hight divided by exactly 3! Isn’t that fantastic? And odd, concidering that something as simple as a diamater has to be multilied by a horrid number like 3.1415926535897932384626433832…. to get the circomference.
